    Pals is one of the most charming medieval villages on the Costa Brava. Situated on the top of a hill and surrounded by rice fields, it preserves its splendid mediaeval spirit reflected in its narrow streets, the Plaça Major, the Torre de les Hores tower and the Josep Pla viewpoint, from where you can admire the views of this beautiful region

      Beaches and Coves

      The Beach of Pals is an extensive sandy beach divided into two sectors: Platja Gran and Platja del Grau. It is part of the Montgrí and Medes Islands Natural Park. You will also find the beach of Es Racó and the naturist beach of Illa Roja. Along the coastal path, you can reach the cove of Sa Riera, in Begur. The characteristics of this environment allow you to practice sports such as hiking, cycling, as well as countless water sports. For those who want to enjoy the beach with their pet, you can visit Platja Els Griells, located next to l'Estartit.

        Hiking and cycling routes in Pals

        For lovers of outdoor adventure, Pals offers several signposted routes that allow you to discover the natural beauty of the area. Some of the most highly recommended are:

        Quermany Circular Route
        A 9.2 km route that takes you to the top of Quermany Gros, where you will enjoy panoramic views over the coast and the rice fields.

        Daró River Route
        This 16.5 km route follows the course of the Daró river, crossing forests and fields that reveal the biodiversity of the area and its natural environment.

        The Masos de Pals route
        This 4.6 km route passes through traditional farmhouses and rice fields, offering a unique cultural and scenic experience, ideal for getting to know the rural environment of the Baix Empordà.
